Just when you think you’ve heard it all when it comes to undergear, something new comes along that proves you wrong. Such is the case with Nuttshelz. Nuttshelz is a brand of athletic cup designed and invented in the U.S. by Jeremiah Raber, and is designed to protect a man’s jewels from just about anything.
As the company’s website states, “a roundhouse kick to the nuts can actually shatter some plastic cups,” but “this cup won’t crack if you shoot it with a pistol.” Constructed of Kevlar and ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, Nuttshelz cups offers its customers two levels of cup protection. “Level I” is designed with professional sports players in mind, while “Level II” is fit for law enforcement and even the military. So, whether it’s a fast ball or even bullets, Nuttshelz has a guy’s private parts covered.
And to say that Raber stands behind his invention would be an understatement. To prove that Nuttshelz are, in fact, bulletproof, Raber has gone the extra mile, allowing himself to be shot in the nuts while wearing one of the cups. Talk about commitment to one’s product! You can see a short video clip here of the shooting, demonstrating the strength of Nuttshelz.
Currently, Raber is trying to raise $30,000 on Kickstarter to fund a similar cup design for boys. You can view the Kickstarter campaign here.
